Archived: Children & Human Rights education – Support us in our project: ‘Our rights, our freedoms: Children and Human Rights’

iCrowdNewswire - Dec 31, 2015
My name is Anaïs Felder, I am 24, and I am soon leaving for Cameroon (Bamenda) to teach Human Rights to children in primary and secondary schools.

Every society needs Human Rights to be stable and to respect each and every person composing it. Childhood is the time when most of these principles will be taught to children in order for them to follow them during their whole life.

Cameroon is a stable country. However different cultures into the country, and its location in a region where various humanitarian situations are occurring might challenge human rights implementation. It is essential to teach children why human rights are crucial to improve their lives and keep helping others.

What are the funds for?

We need about 500 euros to begin this project that we will hopefully keep in the time. This will be used for two main purposes:

  • To buy school supplies for children, such as notebooks, pens, and materials to realize various activities.
  • To buy books on children rights which will be left to the team which will continue this project, hopefully over the years.

To see the difference your help will make, a website is online, where you can follow the project, the activities done by children, some pictures and videos.

Thus, I suggest you to regularly check our website: Our rights, our freedoms: children and human rights

About the project owner

My name is Anaïs Felder, I am 24 years old, and after a LLM in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (University of Essex), I decided to go for a new adventure.

Greatly passionate about travels, it is in January that I will move to Cameroon. In collaboration with the organization CAMAAY, I will teach Human Rights to children in primary and secondary schools in Bamenda and surrounding area. In addition, we will do our best to develop this project to other parts of Cameroon.

I offer you to share this adventure with us, through our website on which you will be able to follow the activities done with the children. Updates will be regular, and all questions, emails and others will be communicated to people working on the project, as well as to children.
