Journey to Ironman Chattanooga 2016
I am a triathlete and runner, a wife, a mother of two, and a full-time Exercise Physiologist. I also write a blog, www.riseandtri.com, where I plan to share my 9 month journey to Ironman Chattanooga 2016. I hope to be an inspiration to other working parents who strive to achieve their physical fitness goals while juggling family and work. I have completed 2 Half-Iron distance Triathlons, 3 marathons – including The Boston Marathon in 2015, and now I am working toward my ultimate goal of completing Ironman Chattanooga 144.6!
Why do I need your help? The journey to complete an Ironman is simply not cheap. Race entry fee is $700+, hotel rooms are $399 per night. My expenses will add up through 2016 as I pay for race entry fees for several prep races, equipment, pool fees, race fuel, and other necessary expenses. My goal is to decrease the burden on my family by gaining sponsorships to support my dream. My family works hard and pays all of our bills on time…but with the addition of triathlon expenses the budget gets tight!
Your sponsorship will take the financial stress out of the 2016 racing season. I have created two different ways that I will recognize your contribution – advertising through my blog (reaching people in over 10 countries) and your name or logo on my racing gear for the 2016 season!
