“In this time of proxy wars and false flag attacks as worlds collide, now more than ever is the time to say again For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder?” Mark Stewart
Remastered from original tapes, the highly sought after ‘For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder?’ album gets its first reissue on vinyl and makes its debut on CD (outside of Japan) and digital. The vinyl edition remains true to the ambitious aesthetics of the original release, packaged with 8 giant artwork prints on 4 double-sided posters, & the CD format will include smaller versions of all posters.
The reissue now features the post-punk anthem ‘We Are All Prostitutes’. Initially intended for the album, the track was absent from the final running order. To redress this omission, the decision has been made to include it now. ‘For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder?’ spent 20 weeks in the Indie charts, peaking at #1.
The track listing of the album is as follows:
1. Forces Of Oppression
2. Feed The Hungry
3. We Are All Prostitutes
4. Blind Faith
5. How Much Longer
6. Justice
7. There Are No Spectators
8. Communicate
9. Rob A Bank
Simultaneously, The Pop Group reissue their vital post-punk statement ‘We Are All Prostitutes’ as a limited edition coloured 7”. A timeless nerve-obliterating insurrection, the single was released in 1979 to a climate of political unrest. On hearing it for the first time Nick Cave commented, “It’s one of those moments when the cogs of your mind shift and your life is going to irreversibly change forever.” It was “everything that I thought rock & roll should have…it was violent, paranoid music for a violent, paranoid time.”
