Help the Muses Trio record their debut CD!

The Muses Trio are some of Australia’s leading and most exciting musicians in contemporary classical music, known for their edgy, spine tingling and virtuosic performance style: Christa Powell (violin, Topology), Louise King (Cello Dreaming) andTherese Milanovic (piano, Topology). Inspiring, collaborating, connecting, commissioning and supporting creative women to pursue and share artistic excellence are importance aspects of their research and performance outcomes.

We believe that music written by women deserves to be better known by audiences, and are passionate about unearthing hidden musical treasures and bringing them to the concert stage. After three successful seasons of beautiful chamber music events, celebrating music composed and performed by women, we are excited about recording some of our favourite works for our debut CD. We have included three works which will be world premiere recordings, feature four Australian composers, alongside some gorgeous gems and audience favourites. As much as we love discovering music from the past, we are also proud to feature works by six living composers.

Why do we need your help?

Recording costs are high, and artists are unlikely to break even through album sales. Through pre-purchasing the digital download or CD, or making a donation from as little as $5, you can assist in bringing this beautiful recording to life. You can also help through spreading the word, and sharing the campaign to your social networks.

As part of our commitment towards women’s equality, empowerment and peaceful participation in society, 10% of donations from this fundraiser will go towards theAustralian Chapter of UN Women.
