Right now, there are not many options for young people wanting to listen to live original music in the Port Adelaide area. If you live here, you know what we’re talking about. Most venues are a 30-40 minute trip into the city, with the last train home at 12.15am, which makes it a bit of an effort sometimes.
But its not all about that. We believe that supporting musicians and creating a positive, inclusive gig space will strengthen and build our community.
We want to bring live music nights to Port Adelaide in a way that hasn’t been done before. Our launch gig is bringing the big band reggae/afro roots/funk ofLocal Revolution, some seriously talented youthful sass of Orangutang, a mystery solo performer, fire performance at sunset over the water and Bohemian BBQfood truck for some tasty grub.
Stowaway Live Music Club wants to make the Port even better!
We promise to put on a great night of live music on the river.
All proceeds go to the bands and making future gigs happen.
The Stowaway Crew are all volunteers.
The Stowaway is the musical arm of Port Adelaide Artists Forum.
