Inventi Ensemble Debut Album: to cover the studio hire and a contribution towards artist fees

iCrowdNewswire - Nov 2, 2015

Inventi Ensemble Debut Album

The story of the project

Since splashing onto the Australian music scene in early 2014, Inventi Ensemble have made a huge impact. From establishing a concert series in the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, to commissioning new works at leading contemporary music festivals, to performing at the Melbourne Recital Centre and continuing their efforts in bringing music to those that otherwise don’t have access to it, we are now ready to record our first album to share with our fans and the world. We are inviting some of Australia’s leading musicians, to ensure that this album will be a must-have!

This is album will be music for flute, oboe, violin, viola and cello, featuring some of our most popular concert repertoire including Mozart Flute Quartet in D, Britten’s Phantasy Quartet for oboe and strings, JC Bach Quintet, alongside works by Elena Kats-Chernin and Faure.

How the funds will be used

The process of producing an album is an expensive one. Our whole project will cost in excess of $12000 and for this campaign we are looking for financial support of $6600 to cover the studio hire and a contribution towards artist fees.  Any donations in excess of this amount will go towards other costs of the recording as listed below (including sound engineer, mastering, manufacture, design and distribution)

We are committed to making this project happen and will contribute financially towards this project ourselves but at the moment have only $2000 towards this recording. We need your help so this recording can become a reality!

Our budget breakdown is as follows:

Studio time: $2100
sound engineer: $1400
Mastering: $1500
Manufacture and Design: $1500
Artist Fees: $7500

Some of my other work

Inventi Ensemble members are experienced recording artists, Ben Opie’s debut album has received international acclaim from journals such as ‘Fanfare’ and ‘American Record Guide’. Melissa Doecke released her debut album in 2013 and has her second album ‘Ulpirra Sonatines’ due for release end of this year. Everyone performing on this album has had extensive experience in recording, both through the studio process and post-recording production. We are also working with a world class sound engineer, Myles Mumford who will take care of all our needs!

We are confident that we can produce a superb quality album and we are champing at the bit to get into the studio to record this beautiful, familiar and extraordinary repertoire. The challenges we may face are in fact mostly financial, and we plan to mount a significant campaign from our supporters to overcome this. We are dedicated to this project and fully intend to do whatever we need to realize our current dream of creating this album.
