Prince Dance Company, from Hawaii to the World!
Prince Dance Company was formed as a non-profit in 2007, but it really began in 2004 when Angel Prince moved to the Big Island of Hawaii. Starting a small dance class with two dancers, then 14 and 15 years old, Angel had big dreams of where they could go. Fast-forward to 2015, and those two young dancers are all grown up with visions of performing on stages around the globe in their head.
Those two dancers form what is now a professional dance company and in the past year completed a tour of the Hawaiian Islands with their show, “Que Sueñes Con Las Angelitas”. As they set their sights on bigger goals, the next phase of the dream is to showcase, “Que Sueñes Con Las Angelitas” at the Association of Performing Arts Presents in New York City. A.P.A.P. is the largest Performing Arts Conference in the U.S. and provides an opportunity for performing arts companies to be seen and booked by theatres and presenters from around the world.
For an up and coming dance company, like Prince Dance, it’s a very big deal. It is also very expensive.
The goal of this home-grown dance company from Hawaii is to take 6 performers to NYC for 3 days to attend A.P.A.P. and showcase everything they have been working so hard on for the last several years. It’s a big dream! But that’s what life is all about right?
Will you help us realize this dream?
Any money contributed to our cause will help to pay for the cost of travel for the 6 performers to NYC, as well as the APAP showcase fees, which include the theatre, technicians, and publicity.
Thank you for your time to read this, and for your support. Please pass this on to anyone you think might be interested!
