The Investor Provider Leadership Summit will be held at the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport Hotel located at 4300 East Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona. It will bring together key executives of profit companies and non-profit industry associations that offer real estate investment properties, products and services.
David Drake, founder and chairman of LDJ Capital, a New York City-based family office, and Arizona 6th District Congressman David Schweikert who co- authored the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act, or JOBS Act, of 2012, will keynote in this summit. They will talk about the economy, small and medium sized businesses, finance and mega trends propelling the financial leadership of the country.
Drake is a strong supporter of the real estate industry and a proponent of enabling real estate crowdfunding to support startups. He strongly lobbied for the US JOBS Act, in Congress and the EU Commission. For this work he was made a delegate by the US Commerce Department to the EU Commission in Brussels and Rome in 2012 and was invited as a thought leader to the White House Champions of Change ceremony in Washington DC in 2013.
David Drake, who also founded and heads the financial media conglomerate The Soho Loft Media Group, says “For the last 3 years, we have strives to be at the forefront of creating the transition from private offerings to public offerings in investor relations, corporate communication and business intelligence. This will not only allow these private companies to be more competitive than others, but they would be able to raise capital much faster since they will have a corporate profile and corporate identity that’s easily found online.” According to David, “There is a huge opportunity for a company to work with us. This new law can be applied to every single company in North America, be it a small or a big firm.” He also added, “The macro perspective is necessary to understand the players and the law, so as to translate what is happening between different divisions, from lawyers to legal compliance, to marketing to what is alright and what is not.”
David says, “People are giving hundreds, thousands and millions of dollars online and yet they refuse to speak to the CEOs when making these private investments.” He further adds, “The key to this is that you are actually having a corporate identity in the corporate profile just like any other public company and money will start flowing in.”
“We have reviewed only a couple of technology solutions from the hundreds out there,” says David, and “that qualifies to make you compliant with existing laws and we know who they are and we have made arrangements to work with all of them without being biased.”
