I am Nancy Z. Faella, a Colombian native who migrated to the United States 26 years ago. Having grown up in an environment surrounded by coffee, I realized it is hard to enjoy a gourmet cup of coffee without spending a considerable amount of time preparing it. Since good coffee is costly and requires time to prepare, we must look to alternative solutions. Not only is it important to enjoy a delicious cup of Colombian coffee, but knowing you are helping the farmer who grew those beans, make every sip that much more satisfying. Violet’s Coffee has a fixed interest in sustainable growth through social equality and better business practices. Production of our product will include vulnerable populations in Colombia, such as coffee farmers and citizens living in poverty. Violet’s Coffee will raise the standard of living and the quality of life of those living in subregions of Colombia by creating direct and indirect jobs. This will help many vulnerable Colombians displaced by armed conflict, as well as bring jobs to people in remote places who have restricted mobility. Colombian cities and towns are separated by miles of mountain chains, which makes it more difficult for people to find work outside of their towns. Our first approach of obtaining this goal was the development of an environmentally conscious and representative product of this region (coffee and moscavado sugar). The process will benefit those in the disadvantaged population of Colombia by using coffee grown by local farmers as well as employing local residents in need of income Years of dedication and hard work, not to mention the trials and tribulations that go along in starting a socioeconomically conscious business lead us to this point. With the support of family, friends and colleagues, Violet’s Coffee has been blossoming. As entrepreneurs, we understand the initial idea and the final product are just as important as the steps it takes to get us there. Our company, Violet’s Coffee, entered into the national and international market alternatives in terms of products and presentation, such as cubes, powder, and syrup. These many presentations helped us innovate products such as coffee, green tea, chocolate, aromatics (fruits, herbs and flowers), milkshakes (of two types: one traditional and the other to lose weight), yogurt, sports drinks and energy drinks. These products and presentations are an added value on top of our vast variety of flavors. Violet’s Coffee Cubes sparks curiosity in the drinker like no other beverage on the world market. But it doesn’t stop there when it comes to innovations in the food and drink market. We have also developed coffee tablets, extra caffeinated coffee and tea beverages, as well as natural flavorings that can be added to desserts, pancakes, waffles, French toast; virtually anything you can think of that could use some extra flavor. In the near future, we will also be marketing flavored syrups in powder form— all you need to do is add water and heat on low over a stove until the liquid is viscous. We have also developed coffee jelly, coffee-banana candies, and even products containing nicotine to help people quit smoking. Each of our products are developed with the consumer, as well as the employees, in mind. Innovation is a hunger within each of us; this is our passion. Our mission is to better the lives of those who’s products we enjoy daily. Our system enables you to offer fine Colombian gourmetcoffee to the consumer at a 39% saving. We are able to do this byeliminating the unnecessary 4 steps normally required from farmer to consumer.; Those 4 steps are:
