Cook Middle School 8th Grade Formal
Dear Friends and Supporters:
Plans are well under way to host the annual 8th Grade Graduation Formal Dance of 2016. It is a gathering to show support of our children’s hard work, diligence, and success they have achieved thus far in their education.
We all know that middle school can be a hard and awkward time for any student. They are caught between elementary aged children who get warm smiles and gold stars for their achievements, while high school students have much more freedom, independence, and recognition, as well as a school funded prom to celebrate their accomplishments.
Graduating middle school should be marked with a defining occasion–something that expresses our collective praise as they move on to the next important and defining step in life.
This annual event is planned, organized, and chaperoned each year by the parents of the graduating students. The 8th grade formal dance is encouraged, but not funded by the school. We rely on donations to make this happen for our students.
At this time, our key objective is fundraising and we are asking for your help in supporting our efforts. Your donation will help provide a dance venue, entertainment, games, prizes, and food for all students attending. Last year, Cook had an amazing turn out for the formal with over 325 graduating students. They couldn’t have done it without the help of our community and friends.
Our hope is that we can count on your generous donation to provide a lasting memory for our future leaders.
Sincerely,
Cook MS Formal Dance Committee
