SUPPORT THE HOP PRODUCTION IN PORTUGAL

This campaign aims to support the latest producers that currently exist and promoting the interest on this plants and their use at schools, farmers and brewers.
 

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sovina, is produced from traditional methods and developed solely with water, malt, hops and yeast. Regularly produces five types of beer, Amber, Helles, IPA, Stout and Weiss and limited editions, one for Christmas, Helles Bock in the spring and also a Sovina Vintage which is a type of beer that aged in a old cask of port wine, that besides the sensory experience is also a tribute to our wine culture.

Sovina beers are rigorously prepared according to traditional recipes, being enriched and refined by a laborious selection, that accompanies all stages of production since the discovery of the flavors and aromas of malt and hops to the brew. For the special editions are carefully selected and added spices and herbs in a creative and rigorous development process.

BUDGET AND DUE DATES

We aim to raise 2,500€ to be used for:

1 – To help Mr. Rodrigues to recover his planting lost with a storm, with the offer of the first plants to be planted in November in the amount of 1,500€

2 – Helping Mr. Sá Morais to introduce more profitable species, 1,000€

What already invested in the project:
We promote the installation of a hops farm on Escola Profissional Agrícola Conde de S. Bento, to inform and captivate young farmers;
Launched the Sovina hops beer soap;
Participation in the Jornadas de Lúpulo no Instituto Politécnico de Bragança;
We have created a beer made with fresh hops (Sovina FreshHops) to be launched on 24 October 2015.
