– April 2, 2015 – NEW YORK — Victoria Global presents ‘A Night for the Arts’ series hosted by NYCO Renaissance Board Member David Drake in New York City on 23rd March and in April 2015.
David Drake, a Board Member at New York City Opera Renaissance who is also the Founder and Chairman of Victoria Global, The Soho Loft Media Group and LDJ Capital, hosts a series of ‘A Night for the Arts’ events in New York City. David has invited financial institutions, crowdfunding platforms, stringed instruments dealers and investor solution specialists to watch private performances by artists from different musical backgrounds and talents. Performers for ‘A Night for the Arts’ events are selected from an exceptional art investor series that VictoriaGlobal.co has produced.
David Drake says, “I have started organizing fundraising events towards reviving the people’s Opera. The events – A Night for the Arts – are part of my newly launched weekly musical gatherings that aim to entertain and support arts within New York City.”
“A Night for the Arts” event series will feature two-hour private performances between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on different dates and locations in New York City. The first event took place on March 23, 2015. As a Board Member at the New York Opera Renaissance, David Drake has invited Starwood Capital Group and Asset Alliance to attend the first event, ‘A Night for the Arts III’.
David Drake has invited Hedge Harbor and Terrapin to participate in the second event, ‘A Night for the Arts IV’. He has further extended an invitation to the Carpenters and HedgcoVest to attend the third event, ‘A Night for the Arts V’. Both events will take place in April 2015.
Highly trained and talented artists are scheduled to perform during the three events, and they are:
Talya Smilowitz, a voice teacher and highly talented lyric soprano who has made stage appearances in prestigious venues across the world including Alice Tully Hall, Opera and Symphony Halls across China, Carnegie Hall, as well as Cabaret and Citifield bars and lounges. Talya sings different musical genres and styles. She has toured France while performing in many synagogues using Jewish musical ensemble. Presently, she is the lead singer at the ‘Thread of Blue’, a Jazz ensemble that performs in the tri-state area. Talya performed during the March 23rd Night for Arts event.
Elena Mindlina, a young opera singer of Russian origin has a diverse training and background in music. She is presently taking her doctoral studies at the State University of New York, Stony Brook. Elena’s musical career include performances in New York Town Hall’s Broadway debut, Symphony Space, and New York premier Eliogabalo Cavalli along with Stony Brook Opera. She has also performed as a soloist and member of the Utah Festival Opera ensemble. She performed in New York City venues including One Liberty Plaza, Merkin Hall at the Lincoln Center and Allegro Pianos. Elena will perform during the April Night for Arts event.
Larisa Martinez, a classically trained soprano singer has previously performed in a wide array of repertoire along with Puerto Rican Symphony Orchestra. As a graduate music student, she performed scenes from Role of Giulietta (I Capuletti e I Montecchi), Role of Gilda (Rigoletto) as well as Corinna Il viaggio a Reims. She was on Medici TV and featured on a WQXR radio program along with Joshua Bell, a violinist. Larisa will perform along Tayla Smilowitz in this Night for Arts Event.
