Breakthrough adaptive intelligent educational technologies: Ready to scale in a rapidly emerging market with significant M&A. Textbook publishers are under new management and are actively seeking technology solutions. Founded in 1998, Quantum is a pioneer in artificial intelligence and innovative instructional technologies that accelerate learning and increase test scores at least a full letter grade while improving faculty productivity. Accessed over the cloud using computer, tablet, and mobile devices, Quantum employs a hybrid business model that leverages $10.4 million in federal R&D funding and three patents to establish B-B partnerships and sales direct-to-school. Quantum has launched a product for accounting in higher education, is partnered with textbook publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and has delivered over 1.5 million online sessions to 350 schools nationwide. Quantum is emerging from the laboratory and is ready to scale with one goal: acquisition. Currently the educational industry has yet to figure out how to deliver content which is meaningful, personalized, efficient and cost-effective. Most publishers and online learning institutions (for-profit and non-profit) are spending millions to create digital versions of the same old textbooks and flashcards, jamming videos and dozens of other ineffective materials into an online homework system. Quantum, which is rated as the “most helpful resource” by students, is the only company capable of rendering this abundance of available content into intelligent learning and assessment technologies for students and faculty that also seamlessly integrate with publisher/online ebooks, digital media and legacy learning management and homework systems. Quantum’s technologies have been prototyped and field tested in other disciplines such as chemistry, developmental mathematics and braille which demonstrates scalability to a wide range of content areas.
With funding from the U.S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, Quantum intelligent educational technologies focus on mastery learning through interactive, on-demand tools available through online subscriptions to students and faculty. Quantum is applicable to diverse subject areas in science, mathematics and business in K-12, higher education and adult learning. Products launch on a rolling schedule to match adoption cycles. Through proprietary automated code technology, rapid scaling/deployment to more disciplines is now possible.
Any time a textbook, curriculum or software publisher begins work on a new subject, it takes anywhere from three to five years until product release, plus revisions and updates are costly and laborious. Quantum currently develops a subject in approximately two years and revisions and updates are implemented quickly using automated tools, significantly reducing costs and labor. Quantum desires to improve this process even further and has begun conceptualizing a dynamic artificial intelligence system which will allow subject matter experts to input content into rule-based expert systems.
