Mooli London have announced the creation of its flagship product – the Hampton Camera Bag. The London based start-up are seeking funding for its first production run through crowdfunding site Kickstarter (http://kck.st/1KvojzV). The Hampton Camera Bag has the enviable appeal of a designer handbag without the price tag, and boasts all of the internal features of a regular camera bag.
It is immediately obvious that the Hampton Camera Bag is designed with fashion in mind. The bag has a highly impactful style with the most intricate finishing touches including a quilted panel, shiny gold brassware, chunky zips and buckles. The bag features an adjustable strap to be worn cross-body or as a handheld tote.
The Hampton Camera Bag provides ultimate protection for your gear without compromising on style. The bag is made from water-resistant material, padded with durable foam throughout, and lined with super soft mercerised cotton. Studded metal feet on its base allow the bag to stand safely on it’s own. The bag offers plenty of room to securely store a camera body, 2-3 lenses or flashgun, a tablet, wallet– as well as handy zipper compartments to store additional accessories, such as extra batteries and memory cards. The internal layout can be fully customised around your gear using four removable dividers, and includes a separate compartment for a tablet. A unique feature of the Hampton Camera Bag is that it has an NFC chip fitted inside. This stores personal contact details in the event the bag gets lost. The chip can be read with any NFC-enabled device (most Android, Blackberry and Windows phones).
Speaking about the inspiration behind Mooli, co-founder Beccy Lee commented “Our mission is to create a range of fashionable tech bags that are affordable and robust. The Hampton Camera Bag captures the culture and style of the city. The bag is for anyone like myself, who has longed for a less masculine alternative to the generic polyester camera bag.”
The Hampton Camera Bag is the first bag in Mooli’s soon-to-be range of designer camera and laptop bags and will be launched in three colours – red, black and brown. The Kickstarter campaign will go live in the first week of September and will run for 35 days (http://kck.st/1KvojzV). Kickstarter backers will receive a 25% discount off the retail price of the bag plus a range of special rewards. The bag will retail for £120 and will be made available for purchase www.moolilondon.com.
