FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A NEW TYPE OF BRAND
Everyone knows the brands you would buy for your month long backpacking trips in Patagonia. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are classic street apparel brands that are designed around the urban lifestyle. Unmap is a new apparel company born in Denver, Colorado that refuses to be classified as one or the other. The founder and owner, Pierce Tews, designed a brand that means something. It represents a lifestyle shared by so many but until now has had no representation in the apparel world. This new apparel line is for those who love hiking, camping, and just outright love the outdoors, but also spend days downtown, enjoying art, concerts, and lights. It was created for those that spend their days hiking and climbing and their evenings skating and swaying to the music of local artists.
“As a teenager I idolized brands like RVCA, Obey, Volcom and what they created. I would say the dream was sparked there. I used money I had saved up to buy a screen printing kit from the craft store down the street and printed my first t shirt out of my basement. Since then I have explored brands and ideas that have ultimately led me to Unmap. With such a demand for a brand that represents what Unmap now stands for we set out on this journey. It’s always impossible to find words to say how grateful we are for you, and making this dream come true. Thank you friends. We love you.” Said Tews
With a love for urban streets and city life, but also having that passion for the outdoors and the escape felt there, Unmap was created to bridge a gap between your outdoor and urban apparel.
Unmap will be live on Indiegogo September 14 at 5:00 PM CT, the world’s leading crowdfunding website. There a preorder of sorts is taking place. The goal is to reach $10,000 in 30 days, for Unmap to put toward the first full production run. The products are simple, well made items with a meaning.
