In 2013 while serving as Category Merchandiser for the nation’s largest food distribution company I discovered a remarkable company selling delicious farm raised, grass fed elk meat to fine dining restaurants. After leaving my contract I took the company on as a marketing client and was soon asked to buy the business from it’s 74 year old owner.
Premium Elk USA has already made inroads to three large national restaurant chains in addition to taking over the existing Sysco Foods Service contract (Sysco has over 600,000 clients in the US and Canada). We offer a full line of premium meat cuts, ground venison and will be creating a national brand of healthy elk jerky. America is hungry for a lean healthy organic meat that is both delicious and guilt free and Premium Elk USA has what they crave. In fact currently we import more than 900 metric tons of elk meat from New Zealand each year.
