All raised funds to go twards publishing and production costs.
I wanted to create a beginner’s guide to outdoor photography that didn’t simply spout jargon. I wanted to create a publication that would imbue a practical sense of understanding of the skills involved in taking good landscape images and not just the knowledge of which buttons to press on the camera. For me landscape photography is about capturing the connection you have with a place and a lot of what goes into capturing great scenes happens outside of the world of lenses and kit.
I also wanted to offer readers tested advice with regards cameras and equipment. The market is saturated with this latest lens and that latest body when you don’t actually need the top of the range this or that to take excellent images.
