Buenos Aires, Argentina, 19th August, 2015 – CMYK 4.0’s campaign on Indiegogo has exceeded its funding target by 50%, raising $45,000 in 22 days.
The CMYK 4.0 is a bike that one step ahead of its rider. The mobile app warns riders of congested routes and hazardous conditions. Live train times provide the rider with the best commuting options. Built-in sensors also track speed, heart rate, and road conditions. Its powerful motor helps riders tackle hilly terrain and arrive at their destination faster.
The hardware: the CMYK 4.0 sports a 250-watt motor and a lithium battery. It rides on 14-inch/36cm wheels and weighs a sturdy 24 pounds/11kg. Once folded, it’s small enough to fit inside the trunk of a car.
The tech: inside the bike is a processor, gyroscope and accelerometer, a cadence sensor and heart rate monitor. The data collected is transmitted to your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0
The mobile app directly integrates with the bike. It records your speed, cadence, ride duration, temperature, heart rate and distance.
Manuel Saez, founder & CEO of Brooklyness, says:
“Millions of Americans commute less than 10 miles each day, but their trip is inefficient. We can do better. The CMYK 4.0 helps you bypass traffic jams and bad roads so you have an easier commute.”
The CMYK 4.0 will end its campaign on 6th September, with funds raised going towards bringing the bike into mass production.
