Please help me grasp my opportunity to teach English to children in Chile!
After many years of working papers around a desk, I’m standing up and making more worthwhile, more fulfilling Life and carreer changes, and need support! I want to use my talents and skills to help open doors for children, and have been so happy to find this opportunity at EOP !
Kindly contribute what you can to help me contribute all I have! God bless you for every cent!
In 2004, the English Opens Doors Program initiated a volunteer program that later became known as the National Volunteer Center, an initiative that supports both student and teacher development. Through this initiative, native and near native English-speaking volunteers have been working in public schools together with Chilean EFL teachers for a semester or an entire year, helping students to learn English in a more interactive, communicative way.
This initiative was developed to compensate for the students’ lack of exposure to native English speakers and to help encourage students to speak in English. The presence of an English-speaking volunteer gives students more opportunities to listen to English and practice speaking. Students find themselves motivated to communicate with the volunteer in English in order to learn more about the volunteer and where he/she comes from.
All contributors of $10 or more shall receive a personal postcard from myself and my students in Chile!
