Iman Abdallah Al-Qaisi (Iman Jasim) was born on February 22, 1961 in Baghdad, Iraq. She was raised in a practicing Muslim family, but was different from her other siblings. She loved Islam. She loved everything about it. She did not like to spend any time away from the Mosque or religious study circles. She worked very hard to gain as much knowledge about Islam as she could and was eager to apply what she learned.
She got married in 1978 and moved to America in 1980. While in the states, she continues to gain knowledge and learn more about Islam. Once she felt she had gained knowledge that could be of benefit to others, she began study circles of her own to share what she had learned.
She became an inspiration and leader to hundreds of her students. Throughout her work, she has maintained one goal in mind: to plant as many seeds as possible so that the sprouts may grow and continue to bloom for many years to come. With this goal in mind, she decided to become an author of her first book series, A Cup of Mint Tea.
Iman is a mother of six, a devoted teacher with 26 years of experience, and an alumni from the Islamic University of America.
