Investors are sought, on Panther Pictures, LLC’s new project, Academic Malfeasance: College Funding With One Simple Felony, to be filmed in Porterville, CA, and the surrounding Central California area (The same and similar locations as McFarland, USA).
Logline: Compared to Government loans, Hard Time is a small price to pay.
Tagline: High school is easy, college is Hard Time.
Academic Malfeasance is the story of Max Hunter. Max is graduating from high school and doesn’t have a clue about how he is going to pay for college. His solution? Go to jail and have the state pay for it, if he can get (and stay) arrested. We follow Max from his first attempts at traditional college funding to his discovery of the Prisoner Education Program, his feeble efforts at actual crime, and his incarceration. All the while, Max’s ex-girlfriend has taken it upon herself to stop him at any cost in deference to all the “real” hard-working college students. Even so, if he can keep her from busting him out, Max may have hit upon the most brilliant solution to college financing his school counselor has heard in 15 years.
Academic Malfeasance already has Mun Kang, and Kana Rose attached to produce, Theodore S. Hann, from “Step by Step,” in charge of casting, and Drew Galbraith, as DP.
If you have any questions, or want further information about the project in order to broker investors, please feel free to write back at this email, and thanks again for your support!
