Culinary School Hopeful: Prospective culinary student dreams of attending Le Cordon Bleu school

Culinary School Hopeful

About the project

I am trying to raise the basic fees to attend Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. I am a lifetime lover of food without the financial means to follow my dreams. Having worked as a pastry chef for a few years whilst at university, I quickly discovered that this was my passion.

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be a Grand Finalist (Final 10) in Le Cordon Bleu’s ‘UK Scholarship Award’, recognising talent and interest in young people wishing to kick start their career. Unfortunately I did not win the final prize but still wish to continue to pursue my dream career.

I am ultimately interested in using the skills that I will learn to improve food education in the UK. I want to use my knowledge to contribute to overcoming the problems of food poverty and deprivation in society today.

The £29,754 is just the fees for the course. It does not include the costs of living in London whilst I study. It is really expensive and unfortunately there is little funding in the UK to help people attend culinary school, and so this is my final option if I am to achieve my ambition. Please give as much as you can. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated.
