SVCC – Practice Nets

The story of the project

The Swan Valley Cricket Club is a community based club providing opportunities for both junior and senior cricketers to play cricket in a social setting.

The club runs Milo In2 Cricket for young children, junior cricket teams in local competitions and four sides including A Grade in the WA Suburban Turf Cricket Association.

Our facilities are well past their use by date and are dangerous for our players. We are engaging the local community to assist us in rebuilding our practice nets and turf practice area.

How the funds will be used

We are seeking to raise approximately $12,000 to cover most of the cost of the rebuild. This includes the replacement and installation of the wire netting, relaying the artificial wickets. We will also be moving our turf wicket area to an area where we the turf can grow and provide a safer avenue for our players to train.
