We have recently received funding from the National Lottery to build a ‘Community Hub’. This Hub will be on the Church property but will not be affiliated with our church. Also, none of the money can be spent on any repairs for our church.
Our church has been mistaken for an unused derelict building and has been the subject of frequent trespassers and vandles. We currently need new floors, windows and roof repairs. We are currently doing our very best to raise our funds but it’s very slow going and tough!
We have a very small and ageing community in the Fegg Hayes area however, we rely on this church as it is for some people our only point of contact with others. We are passionate about preserving our community whilst introducing new people into our church.
We would appreciate any donations however small.
The church was built in the 19th century and held its first service in 1872 and began its life as a church serving the mining community.
