Hi, Everybody! We are two very good friends, Daiana and Valentina, who decided to share what excite us. Photography and writing combine in “Mar Fluctuante” (in English: “Flowing Sea”)
“Mar Fluctuante” is a photobook inspired by Miramar; visual records were taken in this touristic town located in the Northwest of the province of Cordoba. Miramar is the only settlement by the Mar Chiquita Lake also known as “Mar de Ansenuza”. It is the fifth biggest endorheic salt lake in the world, so that many people call it “the sea”, not only because of the properties of water but also because of the enjoyable limitless horizon. Water (with high salinity levels) and mud characteristic of this ecosystem are therapeutic.
Miramar is a RamSar Site; it is part of this convention being a wetland of international importance, especially because it is the habitat of waterbirds and an area of great biodiversity.
Nature is the centre; present and past overlap; everything dies and starts out again, like moving waves. Every page of this photobook shows one aspect of the place, acknowledging the diversity that we inhabit, and that inhabit us.
Mar Fluctuante was created along 2014 and mutated as we changed through the book. The photobook will be on sale on paper if we can collect enough funds for printing; and to make that, we need your support. Next, we offer you different rewards for you to find the one that best suits you.
Welcome to this trip-book! Thanks for being part of it.
