Smartnanny® is the world’s first intelligent solution designed to simulate the work of a real nanny and help families take the best possible care of their infants. This baby care personal assistant can help new families with babies who cry excessively to improve their infant care. Now, the creator of Smartnanny® has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production of this useful and unique product.
Up to 29 percent of babies suffer from excessive crying, and about one-third of mothers say they would like to own a device that helps them deal with that issue. Smartnanny® is an intelligent baby basket that can be used throughout the night to simulate the gentle rocking, soothing sounds and singing of a real nanny. If the baby wakes up and begins to cry, the soothing rocking motions and sounds automatically resume. After a short time, if the crying does not cease, the parent is notified via smartphone or smartwatch. Speed, range of motion and rocking time are adjustable.
Smartnanny® includes an intelligent baby basket that hangs from a trestle and is connected with a cable through a metal tube to a motor in the base. This motor has an imbedded acoustic sensor and timer that automatically switch on and off if the baby cries during the night. Smartnanny® also includes software such as a babyphone app, songs and lullabies app and even an app that analyzes the baby’s crying and lets the parent know if the baby is sleepy, stressed, hungry, bored or annoyed.
The Kickstarter campaign, located at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smartnanny/smartnanny-the-worlds-first-smart-nanny, offers pledge levels from €1 to €1,999 and perks including regular and special edition Smart Nannies with extra features. For more information, see the Kickstarter page.
