According to the National Center for Education there has been an overall decline in dropouts since 1972, there are still 3 million students between the ages of 16 and 24 without a high school diploma, a disproportionate number of whom are minority and poor. If we are to leave the world a better place, then we must start with our children.
UPI’s 2nd Annual (FREE) Summer Camp, beginning June 2015, will concentrate on Leadership training for inner-city male students – focusing on vision, compassion, respect, responsibility, courage, communication, character, problem solving, public speaking; including team cooperation skills reflected through the arts.
The fun-filled 6-week camp (4 days per week) is free and will include breakfast and lunch for the campers.
UPI operates via UPI trained volunteers and depends entirely upon donations to cover cost. Contributions are tax-deductible.
