TORR ATTIRE. Performance Inspired Dress Compression Socks
Torr brings compression technology to dress socks to help you live a better, active, healthier, and more stylish lifestyle.
Manhattan, NY; June 22, 2015 – Torr Attire is an all-new, fashion-forward performance-inspired brand built for the business man, woman, athlete, nurse and student on the go. Being on your feet all day and trying to stay in the game no longer has to be an uncomfortable experience, thanks to Torr’s all new compression sock.
Compression technology utilizes gradient pressure to help circulate blood and oxygen throughout the extremities to aid in muscle recovery. Torr envisioned these same benefits of functional recovery, but in a business sock they could wear with dress attire. A sock that was functional, and at the same time, stylish – not just plain black or brown. After a deep dive review of the market, a trip to Italy, and lengthy discussions and dialogue with a new manufacturing partner about composition, feel, size, and design, Torr Attire was born.
The state-of-the-art socks include seamless toe closures, reinforced terry heel support, a first of its kind 9 by 1 ribbing, graduated level 1 medical compression, a mesh branded sole, and designs that add a dapper statement to any outfit.
“We are extremely proud of what we’ve designed and can’t wait to share our socks with the world. Torr socks are breaking new ground and setting the standard for men’s (and soon to be women’s) socks,” says Josh Tobin, co-founder of Torr Attire.
“We were constantly on our feet, whether it was for work or for a workout. As a result, we tried athletic compression leg sleeves under our business socks to experience the true benefits of graduated compression. When we couldn’t find anything we liked on
the market, we decided to design our own fashion-forward sock,” says Peter Casasanto, co-founder of Torr Attire.
Since making their first prototype in late 2013, Torr has been committed to quality manufacturing and delivering the best patterned dress compression sock in the marketplace. They currently have a manufacturing partner lined up and now they just need to place orders.
To date, Torr has sold over 3,000 pairs of socks through the men’s subscription site, Gentleman’s Box. In addition, their socks are being worn by nearly a half dozen NFL Players.
Three-time Pro-Bowler and Free Safety for the San Diego Chargers, Eric Weddle, recently tweeted: “For all my bearded ballers check out these sick socks by @torrattire. Helping me stay on my game. @Kickstarter.”
Torr is now being launched on Kickstarter over the next 30 days. The goal is to raise $20,000 to help Torr really launch the business and bring Torr from concept to reality. Pledge tiers start at $10, with worldwide shipping commencing in October.
About TORR ATTIRE’s founders:
Josh Tobin and Peter Casasanto are globe-trotting business travelers and endurance athletes who have been friends for 18 years. Josh has a background in finance and entrepreneurship, and Peter in biomedicine and business development. Both were tired of achy feet, and being endurance athletes, were dissatisfied with the dress compression socks on the market. They came together to invent Torr, and are now ready to share their socks with the world.
