Urgent! #NoPipelines Caravan to Unis’tot’en Camp
Urgent! Please make a pledge today.
We’re calling all long-time supporters and new allies to join the team and give hands-on support to indigenous land defenders. Time is short – now that the snow is gone, the pipeline surveyors are trying to enter the territory once again. The caravan needs volunteers and supplies as soon as possible.

Unis’tot’en Camp stands between the tar sands and fracking fields to the east and the port of Kitimat on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. The camp holds a strategic chokepoint in the pipeline route through the rugged northern mountains, and it is occupied by people who will never give in to corporate threats and bribes.
This spring, the chiefs learned that workers were coming to do surveys near the pipeline right-of-way. The pipeline contractors want to enter unceded territory without permission from the Unis’tot’en Clan and other hereditary chiefs, but the land defenders are refusing to move.
The Caravan to Unis’tot’en Camp brings volunteers, food, and supplies to the camp year-round. This summer, for the fourth year in a row, we’re loading up a giant schoolbus and leading a convoy from Vancouver on July 6.
The Unis’tot’en Clan and neighbouring clans have given formal eviction notices to the pipeline companies attempting to work in the territory. They are establishing “satellite camps” in the forests and hills around the perimeter of the territory to guard against hostile visitors.
Help us supply the camps with tents, tools, food, and canning and smoking supplies. Please help us raise $6500 by July 1 to cover the cost of the convoy and everything camp needs to get ready to hold ground in the face of corporate coercion.
