dsgnfix is a search, discovery and inspiration app dedicated to helping design enthusiasts connect with each other and with the things that inspire them — architecture, art, environments, shops and experiences.
From the awe-inspiring architecture of Europe to the jaw-dropping work of graffiti on the building around the corner, great design is everywhere you look.
Whether you’re traveling to a new city or just stepping out into your own backyard, with dsgnfix, inspiration is always just a swipe away.
Search, discovery and inspiration platforms are not a new concept: ever since the rise of mobile technology – and smartphone cameras in particular – people have been finding ways to engage with and share the world around them bridging the gap between the digital world and the physical one.
But from Pinterest to Tumblr to Reddit, today’s top search, discovery and inspiration communities miss the mark when it comes to providing design lovers with an outlet that is specifically targeted to their interests. Existing platforms are:
With no way for design enthusiats to filter out the noise and hone in on the content that grabs and inspires them.
More concerned with sharing home decor tips and recipe sharing than with showcasing truly inspirational design.
Failing to recognize the less obvious but equally inspiring design moments that surround you right at home.
At dsgnfix, we think the time is right for a new kind of discovery platform to enter the scene and provide design lovers everywhere with a community where they can come together and celebrate the designed world.
dsgnfix simplifies and redefines the way people passionate about design connect to each other and share and discover the great spaces and places the world has to offer.
Our app connects users to compelling art, architecture and design, compiled by a diverse community of design enthusiasts.
There are two ways to enjoy the content on dsgnfix:
In which award-winning creative leaders select and comment on what inspires them.
Where you can guide yourself. You can select design categories and apply filters to hone in on what you love. You can connect with like-minded people and follow those design explorers whose selections inspire you.
So what is it that makes dsgnfix the ultimate app for design lovers everywhere?
dsgnfix uses accurate geonavigation technology to display posts closest to you first, so you can easily hop on over to check out the latest design design discovery. Our app also updates in real-time allowing users to see new content every time they come back.
dsgnfix is fast, reliable, accurate and our simple elegant interface is accessible allowing the focus to shift from technology to the real thing – we are the means to the end, putting users directly in front of the things that inspire them.
Getting ready to head out on a big excursion to Europe? Or just looking for a quick ten-minute getaway in the middle of your hectic day? Change your dsgnfix location to anywhere in the world to plan your trip ot just immerse yourself immediately in the inspirational design of your favorite cities.
In July 2014, we launched the beta version of dsgnfix in NYC, arguably one of the most design-rich cities in the world. Since our launch, we have partnered with Open House New York to host their annual Weekend where built New York is opened to be explored. We are in discussions with several instutions and have presented to The Metropolitan Museum and NYC&Co. two iconic and influential New York instutions.
dsgnfix is already home to over 1,000 design-obsessed users and over 25 high-level curators. These numbers are poised to skyrocket as we continue to push our brand, launch in more cities, and connect with the most forward-thinking demographic: students.
The world-renowned Parsons School of Design will require incoming freshman to download and implement our app as a mode to familiarize themselves with their community and the design surrounding them. An entire student body with an eye for the newest design will keep our content updated, fresh, and dynamic, adding at least 400 users by the end of Fall 2015.
We take advantage of the popularity of social media by actively making our presence known on various platforms –– we also plan on allowing users to post simultaneously on our app and through Facebook, Twitter, and the like.
The dsgnfix vision is helmed by a group of designers, design strategists, artists and educators who are passionate about art, architecture and design, and finding innovative new ways to help the design community come together and share the art, architecture and design that inspires us all.
