Hoody’s Climb
A little about Kitchen Sage.
Kitchen Sage & Steepletown are transforming lives within the urban core communities of Grand Rapids and the surrounding region through education, workforce development, and community empowerment. This creates hope that is rooted in opportunity, which ultimately leads to a sense of well-being and economic security.
A little about David Hood.
I grew up in West Michigan, however left for a dozen years and then came back home to West Michigan to raise a family. The quality of life here is just too good. I have been married to Darcy for 10 years and have an 8 year old son, Easton.
I work for a life-safety and security provider, EPS Security headquartered in Grand Rapids, as the Director of Business Development.
With over 200 employees from Kalamazoo to Northern Michigan we like to be active in the community and give back when we can. We have Local ownership and believe in Local First whenever possible.
EPS is active with many great organizations throughout West Michigan, such as the Grand Rapids Foundation, The United Way, Steepletown Neighborhood Services, Kitchen Sage, Kids Food Basket DA Blodgett St. Johns and others.
I’m taking on a fundraiser of my own, “Hoody’s Climb”. I’m climbing Mt. Rainier in June to benefit Kitchen Sage and Steepletown. My goal is $14,410.00.
