The NoteStream App: More Than News—Articles By Experts For People Who Want To Learn
Introducing NoteStream™ – revolutionizing the way you learn. NoteStream is more than just an information source. We’re a platform for learning, providing articles written by experts on an expanding variety of topics for people who want more than news.
The NoteStream database of authors delivers a wide array of curated content, ranging from French wines to the awe-inspiring science of the Hubble telescope. What’s more, the average NoteStream downloaded is over 1,000 words—enough to explore a topic in more detail.
Downloading NoteStream will change your relationship with mobile media, ensuring you never use the web the same way again.
My how far we’ve come.
Smartphones have become such a huge part of our lives that we’ve been “retrained” in the way we receive and process information. Long gone are the days of shuffling through magazine articles, or even the days of sitting at our computer chair and scouring the Web. Now, just a couple taps of our phones or a couple words into the receiver get us “the answer” in a matter of seconds.
Here’s the problem: before NoteStream, mobile platforms specifically designed to embrace such longer content didn’t exist. These longer articles discussing compelling topics were dismissed, forgotten and hardly ever saved for later because of three distinct drawbacks:
They’re too long to be consumed via mobile devices (those with more than 1,000 words are fully read less than 15% of the time);
They’re severely lacking in author credibility and qualifications;
It takes too long to search across multiple apps.
Trying to decide on what craft beer to order at your local Brew Pub? The NoteStream app gets you all the details you need on the new brewing style. It’s designed for the consumption of interesting stuff in smaller time blocks – getting it to you in a clean, easy-to-read manner. NoteStream’s content is presented in a sequence of “Notes,” which are short segments designed for complete reading in less than a minute (avoiding the endless scroll). It’s all been pre-screened by the NoteStream team for quality and has been broken down into easily navigable categories.
We help expert contributors deliver quality content to lifelong learners.
We offer a far more effective method for authors to distribute their content rather than creating their own app and pushing readers to install it. NoteStream brings them exposure to an audience actively engaged and learning via mobile.
The truth is, NoteStream benefits both readers and content creators in a number of ways. We’ve listed a few more of them here:
NoteStream’s readers are nearly five times more likely to complete an article than online readers. Readers can navigate the content at their own pace and pick up wherever they left off, automatically.
Users voluntarily follow authors with content they like, and accept “push notifications” 80% of the time when asked. Users are notified of new NoteStreams via Red Crumbs™, a trail of red dots, guiding the reader to their new content.
Built-in support for content creators include detailed analytics, user notifications, and offline content availability. Content creators also get a unique landing page that includes a headshot, a detailed bio, search features, and links to their website, blogs, and social media pages. Ultimately, mobile marketing will allow us to reward content creators with a share of the advertising revenue that their content generates – think YouTube for writers.
Notestream is revolutionizing the way you learn about the world around you. Check out what we have accomplished so far!
Version 2.0 recently debuted in the app store, introducing critical features such as push notifications and author “follow” features.
We started reader acquisition on April 1, and our downloads increased 700%.
Retention rates for NoteStream are about 3x-5x greater than with many other popular apps. People are actually reading, not skimming, with readers leaving great reviews (4.5 out of 5 stars is the average), sharing and engaging.
In a quest to link up with content creators in a variety of industries, we’ve partnered with a number of organizations. These include The Surfrider Foundation, Ocean Conservancy, Roger’s Gardens, and PositivelyPresent.com, with many more in the pipeline.
We’ve established trademarks on the following:

Power Wheel™

NoteStream has been featured by a variety of online press, including The Huffington Post, Postively Present and dailyappshow.com.
We are proud of what we have achieved so far and we are excited about what’s to come! Please request access to our business plan for more information on what lies ahead.
How exactly did we come up with this idea? It all started with a glass of wine…We love wine and wanted to learn more about French blends in particular, and after researching further we found the information we were looking for wasn’t easily accessible or comprehensive via mobile. So, in a quest to quench our thirst, we created NoteStream – and realized we were on to something special. We broadened the platform to include all topics, and here we are!
