Punch Bowl Social
Punch Bowl Social is a high-volume restaurant, craft-beverage bar and entertainment concept with ongoing development nationwide. First and foremost, Punch Bowl Social is a food and beverage concept. The concept-model utilizes entertainment amenities — such as bowling — to attract patrons and drive food, beverage and event sales. The entertainment is “the hook.” This unique complement of offerings creates a “sticky effect” encouraging customers to linger longer than their typical food and beverage experience.
Positioned as an authentic modern brand, Punch Bowl Social’s demo and psychographic customer base is the highly coveted millennial generation. While the base is this attractive demographic, our approach also caters to a wide audience of families and GenXers at various day parts.
As a design-forward brand, each PBS venue features a complex “dirty modern” aesthetic. The format is large-scale (20,000 – 25,000 sq ft) to house the entertainment components and service significant corporate and private event traffic. The design compartmentalizes the large-footprint so that multiple simultaneous private events can take place alongside regular F&B traffic. Compartmentalization also offers a sense of warmth to a large space. While the footprint is significant, it is more nimble than certain competitor’s outdated 50,000 sq ft models – this allows PBS to “take-down” urban locations (dense with millennials) and creates a development advantage for the Company.
The progressive-diner is a forward-looking adaptation of the classic diner. The craft-beverage program celebrates modern and classic beverage selections. Both F&B components have received national recognition for both their creative make-up and mass appeal to the Millennial Generation. Punch Bowl Social is positioning itself to become an enduring, iconic American brand.
