Support Composers

The Sydney Contemporary Orchestra (SCO) is dedicated to exploring and promoting new music of contemporary composers.

Based in Sydney Australia and comprised of about 100 of finest orchestral musicians,  the SCO hosts concerts for new orchestral compositions regularly. In addition to its regular orchestral concerts, the orchestra also hosts various concerts on a variety of genres, providing significant incentives for composers to pursue creative endeavours in new music and to enrich the music culture of our times.

The Sydney Contemporary Orchestra (SCO) and it’s The SCO Foundation is registered as a non-profit musical organisation by the Australian Charities and Not-for profits Commission. It operates is listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations under Subdivision 30-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.

All Board members of the Management Committee and Managers are volunteers, enabling us to keep our funding towards employing the finest musicians and ensuring that our concerts are of the highest quality. Under this voluntary but professional management team, we will continue to grow the orchestra, increase our funding and sponsorships to promote contemporary music.

We have received more a large number of quality scores that need to be programmed.  We are seeking $50,000 for the concert in September 2015. Your support will enable us to host more concerts that more composers will be benefited.

We are inviting companies and individuals to join our non-rewards Patron Program. Value includes: acknowledgement on our website, on the Program for all concerts, and a number of complimentary VIP tickets. All donations and gifts are tax deductible in Australia.  All contributions (donations, gifts) are tax deductible in Australia.

We are inviting companies to be corporate sponsors. We offer a unique opportunity for “mass advertising” of your product/service. Corporate sponsorship incentives include: advertising in the concert’s Program, advertising materials and/or brochures/giveaways at the Concert Door, advertising signage, promotion on our concert advertising materials, social media advertising.  All corporate sponsorships are tax deductible to the business as a business expense.
