EASILY SCALABLE BUSINESS MODEL

Because the stocking and wrapping is done by the partners, Finnay is able to grow a huge product and service selection. Setup for the shopkeepers interface and putting the products into the online shop can be done in less than a day and the locations can be done remotely. Shopkeeper’s interface includes all necessary tools to follow the sales and wrap the gifts before the customer arrives.
In addition, Finnay has just launched a Hotel Service together with Klaus K and GLO Hotel Kluuvi in Helsinki and next Hotel Zoo in Berlin. Finnay makes also profits by selling business gifts and making white labeling campaigns.

Year 2015 Finnay will reach 250 partners (corner shops) in 5 different cities in different countries. In 5 years we will have 20 countries covered. The business is projected to reach break-even in 2016 and to be profitable in 2017 after the expansion into US market.
So far, Finnay has raised EUR 463K of funding from investors and R&D funding from Tekes, Finnvera, ELY and Forum Virium. The company is now in the process of raising seed money of EUR 1 million. Finnay is looking for a crowdfunding of EUR 100K. The 1M will be used for Finnay’s rapid global growth: growing the sales force and hiring 2 coders and entering the US market.

Finnay’s founder Riikka Lindström is a serial entrepreneur and creativity coach with Diploma in Creative business and International Design Business Management, Aalto University. Master of Art, industrial design, University of Lapland.
Timo Kaleva is Finnay’s CTO. He is also a software architect at Appelsiini. Before that he worked as a technical architect at CGI and as a consultant (software engineering) at Capgemini.
Finnay´s COO Heikki Myllyoja is a true businessman. He has studied economics at London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a founding partner of Magnifier, a Finnish start-up accelerator and seed fund. He is the owner of Kankurin Tupa and Nordicus Finland, and managing director at Nic Salven.
