Marc brings more than 27 years of high technology experience to EasyAsk, Inc. Marc has been instrumental in growing sales organizations and operations in many start-up and young entrepreneurial software companies such as Ingres, Oracle, Gain Tech, Open Text and Just Systems. He has been involved with several successful IPO’s (Oracle, Open Text, and Eloquent) and acquisitions (Gain Technology, Cartesis). Prior to EasyAsk Marc was VP Eastern Region sales for Endeca, where he helped guide the region through a difficult time in the company’s history, focused on Internet Commerce and Media and Manufacturing. Marc also served as President North America of Cartesis, Inc. where he was responsible for managing and growing the North American operations, which grew over 300% during his tenure; Cartesis was acquired by Business Objects in 2007. Prior to Cartesis Marc served as Vice President of Eastern Operations at Business Objects Incorporated where he was responsible for growing revenues by more than 40% annually. Earlier in his career Marc held various sales management and senior executive positions at Eloquent, Open Text, Oracle, Gain Technology, and Relational Technology (Later Ingres Corp). Marc holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Bates College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

He has many years of development and management experience and is one of the leading authorities on Natural Language concepts and technologies. After six years with Teknowledge Corporation, he joined the development team at AICorp in 1989. He held the position of Vice President of Development through AICorp’s acquisition by Platinum Software and later Platinum’s acquisition by Computer Associates. His broad-based development and management experience as well as his linguistics knowledge has contributed significantly to the expansion of the product. He earned an AB degree from Dartmouth College, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Maryland.
