Aurolux will ground Sulbing Jiangsu to act as Master Licensor to franchise Sulbing Dessert Cafés.
Founded in Busan, Sulbing has become Korea’s most popular chain of Pat Bingsu-style (shaved ice) dessert cafés. Within 2 years, it has over 480 cafés, and not one café has performed at a loss. By end of 2015, Sulbing will have 800+ locations. Sulbing has issued Aurolux a Master Licensor contract (available upon request) for the Jiangsu Province of China (pop. 80+ million).
$2,000,000 will secure Master Licensor Rights ($1,000,000), and establish two Flagship Stores (2x $400K), and franchise sales operations ($200K).
Our mission is to become the leading pat bingsu café brand in the Yangtze Delta.
Sulbing is renowned for its super delicate and delicious shaved snow ice, other desserts, and hot and cold coffees and teas. Phenomenal growth & profitability has already beaten Starbucks in Korea to make Sulbing Korea’s hottest franchise.
Banking contacts indicate that once initial cashflow models are established by the two flagship stores, bank support can qualify potential franchisees and arrange financing of operations.
We project no need for additional fundraising after raising $2,000,000. Properly managed, the long term outlook suggests the possibility of a Starbucks or McDonald’s type of franchise expansion. CJ Foods now sources Korean operations and will provide same services to China operations.
Recently, a Japanese company signed a Master Licensor agreement with Sulbing and has first phase rollout plans to open hundreds of cafés throughout Japan by 2016.
Aurolux will pursue the following two distinct lines of business:
Master Franchise Licensor (90-95% of Year 3 EBITD)
Our core business is selling franchises: for a $50,000 USD royalty fee, plus 3.5% of monthly revenue, and all equipment and decoration costs
Owned Operations: (5-10% of Year 3 EBITD)
Flagship cafés will promote new menu items, brand awareness, and prove financial model
Become Master Licensor for Franchise Rights to the Jiangsu Province, population in excess of 80,000,000, for the extremely popular Korean luxury brand coffee shop, Sulbing.
