Hoffman Family Cellars was founded in 2006 by industry veteran, Paul J. Hoffman. After selling his interest in the Medusa & Spellbound brands he created with the Mondavi family, Hoffman set his sights on developing new programs based in Sonoma. Given the economic conditions, the programs were put on hold while the wines aged and developed.
In 2010, the wines received “outstanding” accolades from The Wine Enthusiast and were off to the races. The Headbanger & 401K brands were launched and the lines of distribution opened in domestic and international markets. Soon after, two tasting rooms( Sonoma Plaza & Treasure Island) were opened for direct to consumer sales and customer entertainment .
2013 saw a 27% growth in revenue sparked by the expansion into 6 new markets and key placements on Oceanna and NCL cruise lines. Also in 2013, HFC partnered with National Recording Artist, Digital Summer, to promoted the Headbanger Brand directly to a targeted consumer. With a daily reach of 400K through social media, the partnership has driven brand awareness and sales unlike most of the industry. National Distributors, Southern Wines and Spirits & Republic National, took note and signed up for select markets.
2014 brings a host of opportunities for the company. Headbanger “American Gold” Spirit-Whiskey will launch in Q1. With Distributor PO’s in hand pre-bottling, and 4 signature cocktails already created for The Hard Rock, the “World’s Most Mixable Whiskey” is set to explode on to the market. As Shiprocked 2014’s only alcohol sponsor and a Digital Summer National Tour with Grammy Nominee, Volbeat, Headbanger will be a household name and beloved brand in no time. 401K will continue it’s worldwide awareness through the cruise ship placements resulting in triple digit growth.

Headbanger is a product of Hoffman Family Cellars and was founded by Winemaker Paul Hoffman out of a love of music and thirst for a great wine, National recording artist Digital Summer came on board to partner with the brand and help get the word out to the music world. The next step was to enter the spirits world with Headbanger American Gold Whiskey. The “world’s most mixable whiskey” launches in 2014 & is poised to take the world by storm.

401K Wines

Every day Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon Wines. Fine Wines that won’t break the bank. The tagline is “I spent men so you don’t have to.” The company was funded by the founder utilizing his personal 401K to get the business up and running. Key placements on Oceanna Cruise Lines have this brand getting international exposure and doubling sales each year.
