Barrel Door Productions is a music production company focused on concert events at Peaceful Bend Winery. The unique location combines a natural, secluded outdoor venue with an option of an indoor music “chamber” that was originally designed as a wine cellar. The current management team has been operating the full production winery while also hosting a variety of events over the past 17 years, providing both valuable experience and industry connections to aid in launching a full time production company. Investment capital is currently being sought to upgrade the facility to include dining. parking and lodging. A portion of the funds will also be used initially for working capital for marketing and employee training. The customer base includes any live music fans above the age of 21, but focuses mainly on the retiring baby boomer generation and the legendary artist who these boomers have followed during their lifetime. This select group of retiring customer possesses both a supply of expendable cash and time, plus the desire and inclination to travel to musical events.
The activities of BDP will provide cultural enrichment through promotion and presentation of the arts while providing a variety of jobs and other local economical stimulation through business to business operations. BDP will continue the tradition of community involvement that Peaceful Bend Vineyard has always conducted, through participation in local organizations like Arts Rolla, Steelville Arts Council, and the YMCA Trout Lodge of Potosi, a brand of the St. Louis YMCA, to name a few.
Main source of revenue is from concert ticket sales including live streaming subscriptions. Additional revenues will include, but not be limited to, renting motel units and selling logo merchandise.
A twenty one year veteran in the wine industry with 17 years at the helm of a successful small winery. Prior experience focused on management of industrial production crews including completion of all phases of a business operation from start-up to sale, of a landscaping company in prestigious Pebble Beach, California. At first it seemed that being a “Jack-of-All trades and master of none” was a locked-in destiny, until the wine industry allowed the variety of skills acquired to be applied to a single facility, including the desire of artistic expression to surface in the form of bottled wine. Years of honing the vintner skills were amplified by producing wine for other small wineries through custom orders. As the winery has transformed and phased out the custom winemaking role, the focus is now on direct customer relations. A special relationship has now developed between the pragmatic winemaker and the winery customer, creating a unique new roll of vintner host for special events.
