A SELF-HELP ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
CULTIVATING SELF-RELIANCE AND FOSTERING CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP & EDUCATION PROJECTS.
Since 1994 ASAP has helped thousands of families improve their own lives. Providing skills and knowledge that endure for a lifetime – a helping hand, not a hand out.
Two Peace Corps volunteer teachers co-created ASAP after serving in Swaziland, where they met and married. A labor of love, ASAP provides the tools and knowledge that truly change lives.
ASAP is passionate about:
1. Savings Groups – member-owned clubs of 5 – 50 people who regularly save together and take small loans from those savings to generate income. Savings Groups are life changing, as these families are now able to feed and educate their children and meet daily needs. ASAP proudly has over 85,000 Savings Group members in Zimbabwe and Malawi.
2. Hands on skills training and providing the tools to empower students to go from poverty, to being productive, contributing members of their communities.
