Hi! My name is Kirsten Ho and I am the Artistic Director of DANCE Kho.
DANCE Kho presents high-energy Contemporary dance works inspired by social and cultural values found in Hong Kong.
This Summer we will bring a new work titled FOLD to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival– a powerful production uniting paper and dance on stage.
FOLD
STICKYLINE are a Hong Kong based duo who are the set designers for “FOLD”. Together we have previously worked on a paper x dance production called “Perspective”. We were fortunate to receive positive feedback from that collaboration and I am eager to develop the idea further and present it on an international stage. “FOLD” is an innovative production with similar staging as “Perspective” but with new ideas and set pieces. Our set for “FOLD” is dramatic and vibrant, playful and majestic and I can’t wait to see the whole piece come together- and perhaps one day presenting it back home in Hong Kong!
Why is this important and how will your money be used?
DANCE Kho has never received private or public funding. For 3 years I have self-funded the company by performing, teaching, and choreographing. To represent Hong Kong at the Edinburgh Fringe is an honour and a privilege and I need your help to move forward. Your contribution no matter how small will go towards….
Additional costs I am prepared to pay for….
I need your support!
Words cannot express how grateful I am to share my work with you and for the love and support our audiences have shown. We will continue to work hard, give back as much as we can and push the boundaries of our creative society.
Please note: RocketHub is not an investment or charity, it is an exchange. The funds from supporters for Goods from me. It’s a “keep what I raise” funding mechanism: if I don’t reach my financial goal I get to keep what I raise.
