As an animal charity we are looking to save on our energy bills. By adding solar panels our aim is to halve our electricity bills.
Teckels Animal Sancturaries in Gloucestershire is looking to install 40 panels to halve its electricity bill and allow us to take in more unwanted pets.
We are appealing to animal lovers across the country to help raise £6,000 which will provide about half the money we need to install the panels. The other half is likely to be sourced from commercial sponsorship.
If we get the panels, which would be installed on our south-facing main building, we hope to provide more facilities for our animals and renovate our paddocks.
Teckels Animal Sanctuaries is a small registered charity (1108726) whose primary aim is to provide the best possible care to dogs and cats who find themselves in need of help. Animal welfare is at the heart of our philosophy and we are working hard to provide the appropriate rehabilitation and behavioural support to the dogs and cats in our care who need this extra support. We believe our approach is more likely to achieve a better chance of a successful re-homing and passionately believe that every cat and dog deserves a happy, fulfilling life.
Over the years we have rescued and re-homed thousands of animals. We do not discriminate against old or sick animals and have a non-destruction policy. Everything we do is focused on improving the lives of the wonderful animals who come into our care.
