Jams & Jellies made in small batches, using locally grown organic fruit.
About this project
I love creating delectable jams and jellies from local, organic fruits. I’ve been doing it every summer for over 30 years. Not counting the years as a kid picking wild blackberries on our farm so my Mom could make her awesome Blackberry Jelly.
I come from three generations of farmers and because my roots are so deeply planted in agriculture, it’s natural for my passion to be intertwined with farming.
One of the many joys of creating delicious jams and jellies is buying directly from local organic farmers. Fifth Crow Farms, Green Oaks Creek Farm, Top Notch Farms, those are just a few of the wonderful friendships I have made with local organic farmers.
I’m a one woman business. I pick up fruit, bring them home, clean, and prepare the fruit, sterilize jars, make the jam, put the labels on, deliver and make sales. whew. I LOVE IT !! I love every aspect of the business.
My business has outgrown my home kitchen so now it’s time to move forward into a Commercial Food Processing (state approved) Kitchen.
I’ll use the funds raised for: a trade mark attorney, New Labels, Licensing, State Inspections, Larger Equipment and Operational Expenses.
So I’m asking for your help in achieving my dream of moving into a larger facility.
With contributions comes some really fun rewards like Spread The Love jams & jellies, aprons, key chains, gift sets, you could even have a tasting with you and your friends, a jam making session with you and your friends, or work with me to develop a jam and name it in your honor!!
Thank you, I am eternally grateful ~ Marilyn Spread The Love Jams & Jellies
Risks and challenges
If, by some awful chance, trademarking Spread The Love is unsuccessful, I will have to go back to the drawing board and come up with different brand and name. :( I so hope that doesn’t happen. But if it does, I have another name for my delectable jams & jellies in mind.
