The community of Kalo is now facing an urgent need: to rebuild its public school and allow 300 students to learn and grow in the best conditions. The situation of this school is very worrying. It’s in a deplorable state. The building made of wood for many years has never received any renovation. Today, it is in a ruined building that courses are continuing. The sanitary conditions are deplorable because many openings in the walls, leaving open access to animals defecating in classrooms. The toilet facilities are non-existent. Safety conditions are alarming because the cracked walls of some classrooms are at constant risk of collapse, especially during the rainy season. When it rains or that rain is coming, students are sent back home to avoid fatal accidents. Heavy rains often outweigh the roof of the scool. 300 children aged from 6 t0 14 years have to pass the whole week in these unhealthy and unsafe buildings.
We, parents, teaching staff, volunteers gathered within the non-profit organization Kalo Telema believe that our children have the right to education in their village, and in better conditions. We share our diverse skills and energy to fight together for the future of our children to rebuild their school. We want to provide children with an education in suitable premises, clean, equipped and especially that present no danger to their health and safety. Unfortunately, our non-profit Kalo Telema has no budget for this project. We ask each of you to be generous and allow us to raise GBP 15000 within two months on this website. We are confident that this project will be completed with help. So thank you for your generosity. Thank you for our children
