BEE THE DIFFERENCE – RESPECT THE HIVE!
Honey bee’s workers only live about 45 days, but the queen can live anywhere from 1 day to 4 years.
The purpose of our project it to find people willing to donate their property (as long as it is zoned properly for honey bee’s) and place a hive or two on their location. After a year of the honey bee’s staying on that location and provided they survive we will split those two hives into 4 and relocated the two new hives to another donor’s property. If we retrieve a swarm of bee’s or have group of feral bee’s we have obtained we place those honey bee’s onto a donor’s property, also. Once a donor provides us a location, the bees will remain until the donor asks us to leave. And, we will continue this process as long as our bee’s survive and we have donors of property.
We only ask the following for our donors:
Our donors are asked not to use any chemicals on their location that may harm the honeybees.
Our donors are then checked to see if they are zoned for honey bees.
We also have our donors go through a mini beekeeping course with 2 Let It Bee.
We also ask and make sure the donor’s location has enough plants & trees for the honey bees to work & survive.
Straight forward & simple.
As a 2 Let It Bee, INC. donor, you are aware that the honeybees, beehives & equipment belongs exclusively to The 2 Let It Bee, INC.. Since our bees won’t leave to pollinate other areas, this will guarantee you, the donor, that your property will be pollinated year after year.
