Hi, I’m Emmy Gay and I believe that children can meet learning standards and be happy.
I am an educational consultant and a happiness coach. I believe in happiness even though I grew up in a violent, poor, depressed community. It was the kindness of others that helped me see that happiness could be achieved in any circumstance. With this project I’m giving back to the many kind people who helped me grow and flourish.
The Flourishing Preschool offers a good beginning to the children of the Red Hook Houses. Research shows that children who have a good beginning do better on all indicators. The Flourishing Preschool is a model to develop children, their families and communities using researched practices that increase well-being, such as practicing gratitude, mindfulness, laughter, physical activity, gardening and positive social exchanges.
I have been awarded a Universal Prekindergarten contract for $680,000 to run a Montessori/Reggio Inspired Preschool implementing happiness practices for three years. I need to raise $20,000 to get the program licensed to implement the contract. By joining, you can flourish too. Research shows that acts of kindness and philanthropy increase well-being.
Join us by contributing to our RocketHub Fund and get happy while creating a place to grow happy children and families.
RocketHub is not an investment or charity. It is an exchange: funds from supporters like you for Goods from me.
My goods are really good, they create happiness in the world. When you give, I give something that makes the world a little happier, like a hug.
