Ergonomic support for smartphones/Iphones, laptops and tablets/ipads made in chromium plated stainless steel
Tablet computers, laptop-computers and similar ultra-slim slate-like devices are smart, but they also pose a health hazard because of awkward ergonomics, particularly, when the gadget in question is placed flat on a horizontal surface. You may experience unnecessary glare problems for example, and you may develop pains in your neck because of a tendency to lean in over your gadget in order to compensate for the awkword viewing and typing conditions. The object of this simple design is to remedy this kind of issues.
When using a smartphone/iphone the most common practise is holding the phone with your left hand and perhaps using your rigth hand to do some typing or navigating tasks, so naturally you don´t need a smartphone stand then. However there might be occasions, where you just need watching the display, and in such cases it might still be practical to have one at your disposal, so you have both of your hands free to do other things while maintaining optimal viewing conditions.
Anyway it may be a nice alternative to just having the phone lying flat on a table, as it is easier quickly to grab something, which is more or less in an upright position rather than lying flat down.
Maybe this is, where the advantage is most obvious. Not only do you obtain a much more comfortable typing position with a tilted position of the keyboard, but you also get the screen lifted somewhat upwards at the same time, whereby you obtain a better and more ergonomically correct viewing position.
Well. There are alternatives to using Buddy of course
If you still think, this problem is not a serious one, which doesn´t pose a potential health hazard, then please search the internet using the key phrases “ergonomics” and “laptop” (or similar). Here are a couple opf relevant links:

The ergonomical advantages by creating a tilted position are here similar to the advantages regarding the usage together with laptops. An additional advantage is, that very likely problems with glare may be tackled efficiently at the same time.
As in the case of smartphones/iphones, tablets are often used in a casual manner, where you hold the device with your left hand, while typing or navigating with your right hand, but still there may be many situations, where you wish to have both of yor hands free, especially when playing computer games perhaps, watching videos etc..As this kind of devices is often used by kids and often continuously for long periods of time, the ergonomic issue regarding these siiuations ought not to be ignored.
Backers, who have pledged more than kr. 50 will be offered a free reward choice between the standard edition and the special editions A and B. The A edition uses only two larger rubber rings as opposed to 6 small rubber ring. The B and C edition are slightly larger and capable of supporting a smartphone/iphone in a more upright position than the standard edition. Edition C may also be used in a similar way to support tablets/ipads in an upright position. However then two symmetrical copies will be required. Edition D uses a different working principle and is especially adapted for use with tablets and laptops as illustrated below.
The product requires utter precision and also some after treatment of the surfaces involving some good and careful craftmanship (within reasonable limits iof course) in order to get a next to perfect result. Both of these issues represent challenges, that must be adressed properly, which I will most certainly strive to do.
