The Rook

A membership-model network of physical spaces for heads-down focus and like-minded buzz.

PRODUCT

Our concept:
After 10+ years in urbanism, we’ve realized that people need flexible, functional work space, thrive in creative environments, and crave moments and places for discovery.

As a result, we created The Rook, a central urban hub, and a network of temporary locations, Pop-Up Rooks throughout the urban environment. These pop-ups repurpose underutlized spaces, infusing spaces of creative potential (e.g., the Ballet, art galleries, historic clubs) with the vitality of young thinkers.

The Rook: Wifi, tables + chairs, coffee/tea/water, food + beverage, meeting rooms, phone nooks, printing, mail service

Pop-Up Rooks: Locations throughout the city that exist a few days a month, always in a unconventional space / wifi, tables + chairs, coffee/tea/water

Customers include work-from-home, mobile, flex-time, and self-employed workers. They do not want a transactional, hourly place, but rather derive their identify and feel a sense of urban discovery by being part of The Rook.
