This design concept is to aid in the delivery of chemotherapy through easy access to ports. Infusion without intrusion.

About this project

The simple hope T-shirt design would be made from dry fit material. Access to ports would be available through the main design modification, a small opening on the front of the shirt which would allow port lines or tubes to be easily accessed without making the patient or wearer feel uncomfortable or over exposed. Openings for the shirt could either be on the chest or at the shoulders. Depending on the illness the design around the ports could reflect the colors of different awareness ribbons (i.e. pink for breast cancer or blue for prostate cancer). The shirt would be available in many sizes and a variety of colors. This shirt would be available firstly online and as the project continues to grow this could be marketed and sold at various cancer clinics.

Risks and challenges

The most challenging part of this project would be the marketing and distribution of product. For example gaining access to clinics to market the information and materials could be challenging. I believe that I can overcome this obstacle because this shirt would be both beneficial to health care providers and professionals as well as there patients.
