Elevator Pitch

An urban winery combining craft brewery attitude with Whole Foods® mentality, customers enjoy a natural, authentic, and local winery experience – at a convenient location. Drink Adventurously.

Company Overview

An urban winery experience combining craft brewery attitude with Whole Foods® mentality.

Vinavanti Urban Winery produces local wine at its purest, and is expanding and relocating to a high-visibility location in one of San Diego’s trendy urban neighborhoods. Locals are young, educated, employed, enjoy going out, and are concerned about nutrition, health and social/environmental issues. San Diego also annually attracts over 8 million overnight, leisure tourists traveling without children.

Country wineries offer a bucolic experience, but at an hour drive away. Urban wineries are a closer option, but generally don’t use local grapes and/or natural wine making practices. Wine bars and restaurants offer drinks and food, but little differentiation and no winery experience.

Embodying “Drink Adventurously”, customers at Vinavanti enjoy an authentic winery experience – at a convenient location. The tasting room features communal tables and an energetic, low-pretension, “upscale industrial” vibe. Winery tours offer customers an intimate experience and an entertainment attraction. The food menu focuses on small plates of wine-friendly fare made with natural, local ingredients. A small selection of beer and brandy cocktails appeases the non-wine-drinker in a group.
